Bury sign Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson on two-year deal
Bury have signed Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson on a two-year deal after two successful loan spells last season.
A permanent deal was agreed in principle in February for the 24-year-old and it has now been confirmed.
He did not make a first-team appearance for Sunderland but was a regular on their bench in the 2009-10 season as back-up to Craig Gordon.
The former Northern Ireland Under-21 international made 17 appearances for the Shakers last season.
He has also had temporary spells at Hull, Lincoln, Brentford and Chesterfield.
