Andy Robinson has signed a new one-year contract with Tranmere Rovers.
And the 32-year-old midfielder, who played 28 times for the League One club last season, has the option of extending the deal by a further year.
Former Swansea and Leeds man Robinson said: "I'm glad to have signed and I'm pleased I'm going to be here at Tranmere for another season.
"We weren't a million miles away from being a successful team last season and I'm hoping we can kick on."
Manager Ronnie Moore added: "I'm delighted Andy will be staying with us. He is a fantastic footballer, who was probably our best player in the final couple of months of the season.
"He's a great character around the place and a very important member of the squad."
Defenders Ian Goodison and Ash Taylor
both agreed new contracts with Tranmere last week, although captain John Welsh
rejected an offer from Rovers
in favour of a move to Preston North End.
