Chesterfield sign goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell

Chesterfield have begun strengthening their squad for next season by signing goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell following his release by Sheffield Wednesday.

The 23-year-old made 11 League One appearance for the Owls this season.

But he has also had loan spells with seven clubs during his career, the most recent with Macclesfield Town.

O'Donnell has joined the Spireites on a one-year contract and will be hoping to help them bounce straight back following relegation to League Two.
