Darlington have agreed a deal to groundshare with Northern League club Shildon AFC next season.
A one-year lease of the ground will cost the club £25,000, with all gate receipts going to the Quakers, while bar revenue will be shared.
The club are now waiting to hear from the Football Association which division they will be playing in next term.
Fans making the journey to watch the team now have a 21-mile round trip to the new ground at Dean Street.
Shildon, also in County Durham, was selected ahead of nearby Bishop Auckland as the chosen venue.
DFC 1883 Ltd, who took ownership last week,
moved the club from the Arena after nine years at the stadium.
