Blackpool will face Birmingham in the Championship play-offs after drawing at Millwall on the final day to finish fifth in the table.

Millwall opened the scoring when Andy Keogh slotted into the bottom right-hand corner but Blackpool soon levelled through Ian Evatt's header.

Nouha Dicko put the visitors ahead with a low finish from six yards but Harry Kane drilled home to secure a point.

Blackpool host Birmingham on 4 May before going to St Andrew's on 9 May.

They were under pressure early on against Millwall as Keogh shot wide and Matt Gilks pushed away Kane's strike at his near post.

The hosts' dominance was rewarded when Keogh beat the offside trap to collect James Henry's pass and coolly side-foot past Gilks.

Blackpool were grateful for the woodwork as an unmarked Paul Robinson inexplicably headed against the bar from three yards.

The visitors capitalised on that let-off when Stephen Crainey whipped a free-kick towards Evatt, whose diving header beat Maik Taylor.

That goal, only the second Millwall had conceded in more than six games, seemed to knock the hosts out of their rhythm.

Thomas Ince missed a glorious opportunity just before half-time for Blackpool, firing wide from close range, while Kevin Phillips tested Taylor with a powerful drive.

Millwall almost restored their advantage when Henry's corner was met by Liam Trotter, only for Gilks to save his header and the clearance was completed by Crainey.

But Blackpool then struck again, Ince and Crainey combining for the latter to send in an inviting cross for Dicko to convert.

The goal sparked Millwall into life and they were rewarded when a corner was only half-cleared to Kane on the edge of the box and he rifled into the bottom-left corner.

Millwall almost snatched a late winner but Evatt made a timely intervention to ensure the game ended level.

That meant both sides were unbeaten in their final seven games.

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett:

"We've finished 17 points off relegation, but I think I didn't sleep for seven months, but it's a big gap all of a sudden there.

"It was a very good end to the season and it should give us confidence going into next year. You don't see the kind of run we've been on in this league.

"On the day I thought we more than matched Blackpool. The game went one way then the other with us starting well and them coming back."

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway:

"I would have probably taken that before the match and I'm relieved we were in the play-offs already and that I didn't have to feel that horrible tension that the other teams must have felt.

"It's a fantastic achievement to get in the play-offs and now let's go and take on a really good side in Birmingham. It will be interesting to see which way it goes."
