The hosts went ahead just after the break when Danny O'Donnell headed home from six yards out.

Danny Hattersley sealed the win for the Hatters when he headed into an empty net after Sam Sheridan chipped the onrushing Jonathan Hedge.

Hattersley should have made it three moments later but he fired wide after he was played in by Danny Whitehead, who later hit the post.
