Blue Square Bet Premier champions Fleetwood's 29-match unbeaten run ended as they suffered defeat at Cambridge.

The hosts opened the scoring when Jack Eades curled home despite Jamie Vardy's best efforts to clear off the line.

Rory McAuley doubled the U's advantage when he turned home James Jennings' fine delivery at the far post.

The Cod Army looked more dangerous after the break, but Danny Naisbitt saved Gareth Seddon's header to help ensure a surprise Cambridge victory.
