Swindon Town extended their lead at the top of the League Two table to five points with victory at Barnet.

The visitors scored twice inside the first half-hour as Barnet slipped to their 21st defeat of the season.

Luke Rooney set up Ronan Murray inside the penalty area for the opening goal for Swindon.

Oliver Risser then made amends for his Wembley own-goal in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final with a tap-in from James McEveley's free-kick.

Barnet had their chances and Andy Yiadom blazed over from seven yards, while Izale McLeod hesitated in front of goal to allow Wes Foderingham time to smoother the ball.

Swindon are now eight points clear of fourth-placed Shrewsbury, while Barnet remain three points clear of the relegation zone.
