Darlington sign Hartlepool United defender Paul Johnson

Darlington have signed Hartlepool defender Paul Johnson on loan until the end of the season.

The financially struggling Quakers, who are in the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone, will not pay any money for the 19-year-old, who had a loan spell at Workington this season.

Pools boss Neale Cooper told the club website:   "We don't want to see a local club suffering.

"It will be good experience for Paul, we're sure he'll do a good job."
