Accrington Stanley sign Wigan defender Rob Kiernan

Accrington Stanley have signed Wigan Athletic defender Rob Kiernan on loan until the end of the season.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has not played a first-team game since joining the Latics in the summer after leaving Watford.

The 21-year-old has previously had loan spells at Kilmarnock, Watford, Yeovil, Bradford and Wycombe.

"I can't wait," he told the club website.  "It's a big step up compared to reserve football."
