Huddersfield twice threw away the lead as Rochdale secured a late point.

Danny Ward scored with a superb strike from outside the area, but the Dale were back on terms when Andrew Tutte broke down the right and fired home.

Town were ahead just after the break when Jordan Rhodes turned in Lee Novak's deep cross for his 33rd goal of the season.

Dale picked themselves up again and were back level when Ashley Grimes curled home a fine effort late on.

"We don't give ourselves the opportunity to win football matches because we don't seem to keep clean sheets.

"We have desire but maybe not as much as you would like when it comes to sensing danger.

"We have one or two broken hearts after the result today but we dust ourselves down, we've got to keep learning as I keep saying and hopefully we can get a few more victories to get where we want to get to."

"A lot of people wrote us off after Tuesday, and I think you'll find anybody who writes a team off with that character, does so at their peril.

"You've only got to look at Stephen Jordan today, he was absolutely super, he's ran himself into the ground until he could run no more.

"The second goal you possibly won't see a better goal today, a great move and a great finish.

"You have to say it's a point gained coming here, they're a top side, and they've got a great chance to go up automatic."
