Matthew Saunders curled home a 25-yard free-kick as Dagenham & Redbridge climbed out of the League Two relegation places with a narrow win.

Bradford went closest in the opening half with Lee Bullock seeing one header blocked on the line and another just clear the crossbar.

But Saunders broke the deadlock after Josh Scott was fouled by Richie Jones.

And the goal spurred on the home side on with Jon Nurse and Brian Woodall both testing keeper John McLaughlin.
