Josh Scott scored a crucial winner for Dagenham & Redbridge as they beat Morecambe to move off the bottom of the Football League.

The Daggers led through Medy Elito's curled effort after he latched onto a loose ball.

Morecambe levelled the scores when Kevin Ellison fired a curler of his own past Jonathan Bond.

But Scott, who scored four goals in a play-off win over Morecambe in 2010, headed home the winner.

Dagenham had chances to extend their lead, with Mark Arber having a header cleared off the line and Jack Redsaw forcing a save from Bond.

The win sees them move up to 23rd and only behind Hereford on goal difference.
