Stevenage scored two minutes from full-time and came from 2-0 down to earn a point at home to Huddersfield Town.

After a goalless first half, the visitors went ahead as Lee Novak put through Danny Ward and the former then netted himself from 25 yards.

Stevenage closed the gap as Michael Bostwick headed in Joel Byrom's corner.

Scott Laird saw his penalty saved by Huddersfield goalkeeper Alex Smithies, before Robin Shroot met Jennison Myrie-Williams's cross at the back post.

Stevenage manager Gary Smith told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"It was a very tight and edgy affair. I thought we tried to impose our energetic and high tempo game upon a very talented Huddersfield side and maybe came out on top.

"Having seen the team perform so well in the first half, to concede that quickly in the second period was a real body blow.

"Think about the character the team showed, not only to get back into the game, but to finish the stronger.

"We should have won the game. That's a fact."

Huddersfield Town manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:

"It will feel like a defeat because we were in a good position at 2-0 up and it is disappointing to draw.

"But this is a difficult place to come, look at their record against the other promotion clubs here, and they held Spurs to a draw here too.

"We were the better team in the first half and their keeper had some good saves.

"To take six points out of six would have been a great start for us but, if you can't win a game, then the next best thing is a draw."
