Macclesfield Town sign Ben Futcher from Bury on loan

Macclesfield have signed Bury defender Ben Futcher on a three-month loan deal.

The 30-year-old has just completed a loan spell at Blue Square Bet Premier side Telford United.

Futcher signed a new deal at Gigg Lane at the start of the season but has not featured for the Shakers this year and has also been out on loan at Mansfield .

"Hopefully he'll add a bit of experience and solidarity to us and help the young lads out," manager Gary Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester.

The 6ft 7ins centre-back began his career at Oldham Athletic and has had spells at Stalybridge, Doncaster Rovers, Lincoln, Boston United, Grimsby and Peterborough.
