Wolves hopeful on Sebastien Bassong fitness
Wolves are hoping defender Sebastien Bassong will recover from his hamstring injury in time for the trip to former club Newcastle on February 25.
Centre-back Bassong, 25, picked up a minor grade one tear in the club's 5-1 home defeat to West Brom.
The game was only his second appearance since joining on loan from Tottenham.
"If he makes a good recovery, he'll have a chance of being available for the Newcastle trip," said Steve Kemp, head of Wolves' medical department.
Did you know?
Bassong scored Tottenham's first ever Champions League goal in the 3-2 defeat by Young Boys in August 2010.
On Monday, Bassong tweeted: "Scan done just get the result. Nothing big.
"If everything is going well should be back for Newcastle! If God want!"
Bassong joined Newcastle from Metz in 2008 before moving to Spurs the following year.
The 25-year-old joined Wolves in the January transfer window until the end of the season after finding his first team opportunities limited at Tottenham.
