Craig McAllister had three chances for the hosts in the opening exchanges, firing wide from 20 yards and forcing two saves from Shaun Pearson.

Pearson was equal to Andre Boucaud's header, before Andy Cook's low drive was saved by Luton keeper Mark Tyler.

Alex-Ray Harvey clipped in the 73rd minute winner that dented the Hatters' promotion hopes.
