Nottingham Forest sign Higginbotham and Wootton on loan

Nottingham Forest have signed defenders Danny Higginbotham and Scott Wootton on loan until the end of the season.

Higginbotham, 33, moves to the City Ground from Premier League club Stoke City where he has made 64 Premier League appearances.

He has also had spells with Sunderland, Southampton and Derby.

Wootton, a 20-year-old central defender, joins from Manchester United but has made 14 appearances at Peterborough this season.
