Forest Green Rovers land Aldershot Town's Jamie Collins

Forest Green have signed Aldershot Town midfielder Jamie Collins for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old has agreed a contract until the summer of 2013 with Rovers, eight months after joining the Shots from Newport County.

The former Watford trainee has made 25 League Two appearances this season.

"He's a strong lad who can boss the midfield and the type of player that sets a standard that others follow," said Rovers boss David Hockaday.
