Scunthorpe United sign Parkin, Mirfin and Gibbons

Scunthorpe United have signed Cardiff City striker Jon Parkin and Watford defender David Mirfin on loan and brought in free agent Robbie Gibbons.

Parkin, 30, joins the Iron on a month-long deal and has previously played for Barnsley, Hartlepool, York, Macclesfield, Hull, Stoke and Preston.

Mirfin, 26, only left United for Watford in July and returns until the end of the season.

Midfielder Gibbons, 20, left Cypriots Alki Larnaca following a pay dispute.
