Uchechi (left) has played for Nigeria Under-20 level
Aberdeen have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Daniel Uchechi after a successful trial at Pittodrie.
The 22-year-old has joined the Dons initially until the end of the season with a further two-year option.
The former Sheffield Wednesday player becomes Craig Brown's fifth January signing, after Russell Anderson, Mark Reynolds, Stephen Hughes and Gavin Rae.
Uchechi had spells with Charlton Athletic and West Ham and left Upton Park for Dender in his homeland.
He was then farmed out to Leicester City then the Owls.
Uchechi was originally meant to go on trial with the Scottish Premier League club during the summer but instead turned out in pre-season for Peterborough United before joining Wednesday after a successful trial.
He signed for the League One club until January, but the loan spell was cut short in November after he made only one appearance under Gary Megson.
That was Uchechi's only senior appearance in English football, having played for Charlton's youth and reserve teams before joining West Ham in 2009.
He was released by the then Premier League club a year later and returned to Nigeria National League outfit Dender.
Uchechi had also failed to break into the first-team at Leicester during his loan spell with the Championship outfit last season.
