Payne scored one goal in 30 games for Oxford last season

Aldershot Town have signed Oxford United midfielder Josh Payne on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old has played nine games for the U's this season but has not appeared since their FA Cup defeat by Sheffield United in November.

Payne was a trainee at West Ham but was restricted to three appearances in two years, going out on loan to Cheltenham, Colchester and Wycombe.

Payne is available for Aldershot's trip to Cheltenham on Saturday.
