Bradford City goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin had a day to forget as his side lost to Rotherham United.

After a goalless first hour, McLaughlin failed to hold on to Jon Harley's cross and Lewis Grabban fired home.

He then conceded a penalty by charging off his line and bringing down Sam Wood, with Grabban converting.

And after initially being caught off his line by Brett Williams, he carried the Millers substitute's 40-yard shot into his own goal.

Rotherham boss Andy Scott told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I was going to make a change with 10 minutes to go in the first half, we needed a spark. We looked like we were waiting for them to do something and we couldn't let that happen.

"Second half we were a completely different side. We controlled the whole game, we passed it well, we were actually getting the ball from our throw-ins and keeping it.

"We were getting our full-backs up, changing the play, linking with front players, getting it wide, getting crosses in and all of a sudden we looked a different side and we could have scored more goals."

Bradford manager Phil Parkinson told BBC Radio Leeds:

"I thought the first half was even, well probably we shaded it, and then the second half a couple of decisions have cost us.

"It was never a free-kick that led to their first goal, and the penalty decision was a joke the linesman didn't get involved in it, and he's ten yards away.

"Clearly he could see it wasn't a penalty, not one of their players appealed, the crowd didn't appeal, it was never a penalty and the ref's made a mistake."
