Promotion-chasing Shrewsbury Town maintained their unbeaten home record with victory over Macclesfield.
Shane Cansdell-Sherriff gave the Shrews the lead after the break when he nodded home following Ian Sharps' flick-on.
The home side's James Collins then saw his shot smash against the post, before Jose Veiga had to be at his best to save Matthew Richards' free kick.
Macclesfield almost levelled when Ross Draper's effort was cleared off the line late on but the hosts held on.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Macclesfield Town manager Gary Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester:
"All the training we do in the week is keeping the ball and we've been like that now for the last three or four weeks where we can't keep the ball.
"Whether that is a bit of loss of form or confidence I don't know, we're trying all sorts to rectify it.
"One or two of them you wouldn't have thought they were the same people that played the other night, but that's life sometimes."
Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:
"We might've scored more, we were a bit unfortunate with one or two chances.
"But we played at a good tempo, there was plenty of energy about the team, and generally we defended well too.
"There was some good movement as well, it was very encouraging.
"Perhaps the final ball let us down at times, but in the end we deserved the win."
