Riley scored Dundee's second but was later sent off
Dundee 2-1 Queen of the South
Dundee moved second in the Scottish First Division after beating Queen of the South.
Jake Hyde finished well after being found by Steven Milne to give the hosts an eighth-minute lead.
Nicky Riley slotted home Dundee's second from Ryan Conroy's cross after 25 minutes.
Queens were reduced to 10 men two minutes later when Kevin Holt received a second booking.
But the visitors pulled a goal back 10 minutes into the second half as Chris Higgins' headed Scott McLaughlin's cross into the net.
And Riley became the second man to be red-carded after he also picked up a second caution as both sides finished a man down.
