FA Trophy: Newport County 0-0 Forest Green

Newport County were held to a draw by Forest Green Rovers in their FA Trophy first-round match at Spytty Park.

In a dour game not improved by deteriorating conditions, chances were at a premium between the rivals from the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Danny Rose might have won it for Newport but put his header in front of goal wide, while Sam Foley was sent off for a clash with Luke Graham.

The Newport forward will now miss Tuesday night's replay at the New Lawn.
