Barnet reached the southern area final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy thanks to a penalty shoot-out victory over London rivals Brentford.

Goalkeeper Dean Brill was the hero for Barnet during the 90 minutes, denying Marcus Bean, Toumani Diagouraga, Clayton Donaldson and Harlee Dean.

But he was not needed in the shoot-out as Jonathan Douglas missed his kick for Brentford and Barnet scored all theirs.

Danny Senda was the scorer of the hosts' decisive fifth kick.

Barnet will now face Swindon in the two-legged area final for a place at Wembley.
