Airdrie United 4-4 Forfar Athletic

Scottish Football League

Airdrie United and Forfar Athletic shared eight goals in a remarkable Scottish Football League Division Two encounter.

Christopher Templeman converted Ross Campbell's centre to put Forfar ahead on 17 minutes but Ryan Donnelly's clinical finish from the edge of the area levelled matters 15 mintues later.

Donnelly's second, a neat finish from Jamie Bain's set-up play, put the hosts ahead after the break but Forfar's Kevin Motion curled a long-range effort into the top corner to bring the score to 2-2.

Templeman slotted home his second on 64 minutes but Donnelly completed his hat-trick with a bullet header to equalise.

Kevin Byers fired into the bottom corner to give Forfar the lead for a third time but John Boyle's clever six-yard finish on 82 minutes brought the match level again and neither side could find a winner.
