Falkirk 2-0 Raith Rovers

Scottish Football League

Second-place Falkirk kept up the pressure on Scottish Football League Division leaders Ross County with a home win over Raith Rovers.

Kallum Higginbotham's curled shot from the edge of the area was tipped over by Raith goalkeeper David McGurn in the first half.

The visitors threatened when Iain Williamson's header from Allan Walker's corner cannoned off the crossbar.

Blair Alston broke the deadlock for the Bairns on 77 minutes with a rebound shot after McGurn had saved Higginbotham's effort.

And Darren Dods was on hand to turn the ball home for Falkirk's second after another save from McGurn, this time to deny Rhys Bennett.

The win keeps Falkirk three points behind County.
