Bennett signed a two-year deal at Watford in May
Brentford have brought in Watford central defender Dale Bennett on loan for a month.
The 21-year-old trained with the Bees on Thursday morning and goes into the squad for their League One clash with Chesterfield on Saturday.
Bennett, who can also play at right-back, has not featured for the Hornets first team this season but has captained their reserves.
The deal means he will remain at Griffin Park until 27 November.
Brentford manager Uwe Rosler told the club website: "Karleigh Osborne picked up a ligament injury in his foot on Tuesday and we do not know hoe long he will be out for.
"We have taken Dale on a short-term loan and I am happy to have him."
Bennett made his Watford debut in September 2008 before joining Kettering on a six-month loan.
He played 12 times for the Hornets last season and 10 times in the 2009-10 campaign.
