Watford have signed Swansea and Scotland striker Craig Beattie on loan until 8 January 2012.
The 27-year-old, an
£800,000 capture from West Brom two years ago
, has yet to feature this season after suffering an ankle injury.
The seven-time capped Scot
told the Swansea website
: "I've met the coaches at Watford and it seems a nice club.
"The ankle injury I picked up recently set me back a bit, but now I'm feeling fit and raring to go."

Beattie continued: "I just need some game time, some action, and I'm looking forward to the challenge at Watford.

Beattie scored four goals in 23 appearances last season, as the Swans won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
He has totalled seven goals in 46 games since arriving in Wales from the Hawthorns, where he hit the net four times in 31 league matches.
