Swansea given international clearance to sign Vangelis Moras

Swansea have been given international clearance from the Italian Football Federation to sign Greek defender Vangellis Moras .

Moras has joined the Premier League side on a three-month deal, following a succesful trial with the Swans.

The Greek international left Bologna in the summer after four years with the Italian Serie A side.

Moras is now cleared to play in Saturday's Premier League game at Norwich City and could make his debut.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has been keen to add defensive cover to a squad weakened by injuries.

Defenders Steven Caulker and Alan Tate are long-term injury absentees.

Fifa refused international clearance to complete the transfers of Darnell Situ and Rafik Halliche during the summer transfer window, so the Swans are now only able to reinforce the squad with free agents or loans.
