Chris Wood scored twice as Birmingham came from behind to snatch a late victory over Nottingham Forest.
Ishmael Miller headed Forest in front but Chris Burke equalised from 25 yards before substitute Wood put Birmingham ahead via a deflection.
Wood then sealed victory for Blues with a low shot as sections of the home crowd called for the Forest board and manager Steve McClaren to be sacked.
McClaren was left to ponder a sixth loss in seven league and cup games.
His side have still not won at home in the Championship this season and remain just a point above the relegation zone.
It was another unwelcome result for Forest, who were thrashed 5-1 at Burnley on Tuesday and have also lost 4-1 at home to West Ham and 2-1 to rivals Derby.
DID YOU KNOW...
- Forest have not beaten Birmingham since 2001, scoring only two goals along the way
The hosts enjoyed a majority of the possession and chances, with Miller, Matt Derbyshire and substitute Robbie Findlay all impressive.
But Birmingham, fresh from Thursday's
2-1 Europa League win at Maribor
, threatened on the break - something they demonstrated early on when Burke volleyed wide.
Keith Fahey headed Liam Ridgewell's centre wide for the visitors but there were few clear-cut chances until Forest took the lead on 35 minutes.
Lewis McGugan whipped in a powerful cross to the near post, Derbyshire headed the ball on and Miller nodded home.
The goal invigorated the hosts and they camped in Birmingham territory before and after half-time but could not make their superiority count.
And they were punished with 15 minutes remaining when Burke seized on a loose ball in midfield and smashed a 25-yard drive past Lee Camp in the Forest goal.
It then went from bad to worse for Forest as Wood came off the bench to receive Burke's cut-back and watch on as his deflected strike looped over a stranded Camp.
Wood struck again with two minutes remaining, breaking through the hosts' backline to slide in and wrap up the win.
