Franks has played for England Under-19s

Oxford have completed the signing of Middlesbrough forward Jonathan Franks on loan until 1 January.

The 21-year-old, who can also play in attacking midfield, missed the first half of last season after back surgery before returning in January.

Franks has made 30 appearances in all for Middlesbrough, including one in the Premier League in 2009, and has scored three goals.

But he has not featured for Championship side Boro this season.
