Sebastien Bassong move to QPR falls through

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong's proposed move to QPR has fallen through, according to boss Harry Redknapp.

Redknapp had been hoping to sign Gary Cahill from Bolton but that deal also collapsed, prompting Spurs to cancel Bassong's switch.

"[Sebastian] Bassong is off, the Spurs manager told Sky Sports News.

"I felt sorry for QPR boss Neil Warnock but when we couldn't get [Gary] Cahill we had to pull the plug."
