Ayr comfortably sealed a place in the Ramsdens Cup third round with victory over Raith at Somerset Park.

Raith's Iain Williamson failed to hit the target from 12 yards in the opening stages of the match

Roddy Paterson found the net for the home side two minutes before the interval with a 12-yard strike.

James McKernan slotted home from six yards after 76 minutes before Ross Robertson completed the win three minutes later with an 18-yard effort.
