Port Vale maintained their unbeaten start to the season as Doug Loft's leveller gained them a point at Burton.
The hosts went in front through Aaron Webster as he timed his run perfectly to head in from Chris Palmer's corner.
Port Vale goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson denied Calvin Zola and seconds later Vale made it 1-1 with Loft's low shot.
Both sides had chances to grab the winner but Jacques Maghoma missed for Burton before Vale substitute Rob Taylor blazed over from six yards.

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby:
"I thought we created quite a few half-chances and some very good chances as well.
"I am satisfied with a point. Maybe we could have edged it but they are a good strong side, they are organised and strong and we showed them what we are made of.
"Perhaps last year we would have been a little bit intimidated by them but we stood up to them and I am pleased by the way we are coming along."
Port Vale manager Micky Adams told BBC Radio Stoke:
"On chances created, we've had enough to have won the game, although my keeper has made a couple of saves in the second half and we could easily have lost it.
"I thought 'Lofty' was outstanding tonight. He's got fantastic energy and pace and he deserved his goal.
"He runs from deep, teams want a rest against him and they can't. The boy was outstanding today."
