Stirling Albion 1-0 East Fife

Scottish Football League

Stirling Albion began life in the Second Division with a narrow victory over East Fife.

Ryan Wallace's 25-yard shot for the Fifers was well saved by goalkeeper Sam Filler on the half-hour mark.

Filler was called into action again after the break when he turned away Robert Ogleby's scrambled effort.

And the keeper's heroics were rewarded with 14 minutes left when Scott Davidson tapped home after good set-up play by Gary Thom and Alan Cook.
