Lund made three appearances on loan at Hereford last season

Oldham Athletic have signed Stoke City midfielder Matthew Lund on a three-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland Under-21 international has come through the youth system at the Britannia Stadium.

The former Crewe trainee is yet to make an appearance for the Potters, but made his professional debut last season during a month-long spell at Hereford.

Lund signed a new deal at Stoke earlier in the year and has featured in three pre-season fixtures, scoring once.
