Carson Yeung's problems not distracting Chris Hughton
Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton insists the legal problems affecting club president Carson Yeung will have no affect on his squad.
Yeung is facing five charges of money laundering in Hong Kong, raising fears about the funding of the club.
But as pre-season training begins, the new manager does not expect the news to have any impact on his preparations.
"No, it's business as normal. We're conscious of what the story is but it's a side issue," Hughton said.
"There are far bigger issues for us here working with the players."
Birmingham chairman Peter Pannu has visited Yeung and received assurances that the Chinese businessman remains fully committed to his investment in the Championship club.
Yeung, who took over at St Andrew's in 2009, has been released on bail in his native Hong Kong.

However, it seems inevitable that the team that won the Carling Cup in February will be significantly overhauled and the cost of the playing squad sizeably reduced by the end of the transfer window.
Craig Gardner's big money move to Sunderland follows the release of several experienced players at the end of their contracts, while the futures of Roger Johnson, Nikola Zigic, Scott Dann, Cameron Jerome and Ben Foster are yet to be determined.
That leaves Hughton to face a waiting game before he can finalise his plans for the new campaign.
"Whatever happens here, and whatever we have at the start of the season, there's always going to be the possibility of loans," Hughton noted.
"We've lost Craig Gardner, and that's a very good player, but at the moment that's all we've lost.
"You can only work day-to-day and work around the situations at the time - I would like to keep the best squad possible, but these are the issues we've got to work around."
Hughton also acknowledged that he has not given up hope of securing the services of Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood as his assistant.
