Leicester net Preston North End defender Sean St Ledger
St Ledger spent five years with Preston
Leicester City have signed centre-half Sean St Ledger from Preston North End for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal and becomes the club's fourth summer signing, joining Lee Peltier, Neil Danns and Kasper Schmeichel.
"Sean expressed a real desire to play for Leicester," Foxes manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said.
"He is a very good defender and has proven this in League football, but also for the Republic of Ireland."
St Ledger, who joined Preston from Peterborough United in July 2006, has won 18 international caps.
