Equatorial Guinea have been expelled from qualifying for the women's Olympic football event

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it has been told by Fifa that Equatorial Guinea have been banned from the women's Olympic football qualifying.

The Super Falcons have been informed they will now play Cameroon instead in the final round of qualifying in August and September.

The move comes after Equatorial Guinea were disqualified for fielding an ineligible player.

World football's governing body suspended Equatorial Guinea striker Jade Boho Sayo for two months over apparent nationality issues.

Equatorial Guinea beat Cameroon 2-0 on aggregate in the second round of qualifying.
