Vine has previously had spells at Luton and Portsmouth
QPR have allowed striker Rowan Vine to leave the club to spend a period on trial with Doncaster Rovers.
The 28-year-old has scored five goals in 54 appearances since moving to Loftus Road from Birmingham for £1m in January 2008.
Last season he spent spells on loan at Hull, Brentford and MK Dons as Rangers won promotion to the Premier League.
He will join up with Doncaster on Monday in a bid to earn a deal with the Championship club.
Meanwhile, Italian duo Alessandro Pellicori and Matteo Alberti have returned to London after loan spells at Torino and Lumezzane respectively.
