Johnson join Southend after an 11-game spell with Lokomotiv Sofia
Southend United have signed former Blackburn, Wolves and MK Dons winger Jemal Johnson on a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old American arrives on a free transfer after leaving Bulgarian outfit Lokomotiv Sofia, where he made 11 appearances.
He started his career in the Blackburn youth setup, making his debut in 2005.
After ten games for Rovers, and loan spells at Preston and Darlington, he joined Wolves in August 2006, where he featured 24 times.
His last English club was the Dons, but he was released by mutual consent after playing 112 games in three-and-a-half years at Stadium MK.
