Julian kept a clean sheet against Stevenage on New Year's Day
Stevenage have signed Gillingham keeper Alan Julian on a free transfer, three years after he left Broadhall Way.
The 28-year-old has featured 80 times for the Gills since joining from Boro in May 2008 but was released in May.
After a first season at the Gills as understudy to Simon Royce, he established himself as the first choice shot stopper in the 2009/10 campaign.
Boro initially signed him from Brentford in 2005 and he featured 155 times during a three-year spell.
