Jay Bothroyd and Chris Burke depart Cardiff
Cardiff have announced that striker Jay Bothroyd and wing Chris Burke will not be at the club next season.
Both players are out of contract and a club statement confirmed that neither man was on Cardiff's retained list.
"Contracts have not been offered to Jay Bothroyd and Chris Burke following an inability for all parties to agree suitable terms," read the statement.
However, BBC Sport Wales understands that lines of communication remain open between Bothroyd and the club.
The 29-year-old made his England debut this season, coming off the bench in the 2-1 friendly loss to France, and has been linked with several Premier League clubs, most strongly with Everton.
Gavin Rae and Martin John have been released, while Adam Matthews leaves having agreed terms with Celtic.
On-loan players Craig Bellamy, Jason Brown, Stephen Bywater, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Jason Koumas, Seyi Olofinjana and Jlloyd Samuel are to return to their parent clubs.
The moves come at the end of a season in which the Bluebirds again failed to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.
They lost 3-0 on aggregate to Reading , all of the goals coming in the play-off semi-final second leg at Cardiff City Stadium, condemning Dave Jones' side to another season in the second tier.
However, Wales star Bellamy has said he is keen to return for another season should Manchester City agree to another loan deal , having played for his hometown club throughout last season.
Anthony Gerrard, Solomon Taiwo and Aaron Wildig are to return to Cardiff City having been on loan at other clubs.
Emerging players Jonathan Meades and Jordan Santiago have been offered new professional contracts, while manager Dave Jones' squad will be boosted from the youth ranks as Academy players Ibrahim Farah, Nathaniel Jarvis and Alex Evans have all been offered senior terms.
Sameth Al-Basith and Steffan Jones have been released from the Academy.
Striker Bothroyd joined Cardiff from Wolverhapton Wanderers in August 2008 on a three-year deal and went on to score 45 goals in 129 competitive appearances.
Winger Burke made 92 Bluebirds appearances after arriving on a free transfer from Rangers in January, 2009.
