Hartlepool United swoop to sign Nolberto Solano

League One side Hartlepool United have signed former Newcastle and Aston Villa midfielder Nolberto Solano.

The 36-year-old, who has also had spells with Leicester and West Ham, was most recently at Hull City, but turned down a new deal at the KC Stadium.

Pools have also completed the signing of Manchester City striker James Poole, 21, who spent three months on loan at United earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, striker James Brown, 24, has signed a new contract at Victoria Park.
