Hereford United's manager Jamie Pitman has released seven players and placed two more on the transfer list.

Long-serving centre-half Richard Rose leaves after playing 193 times in five seasons with the Bulls.

Defender Ryan Valentine, midfielders Sam Gwynne, Daniel Stratford and Aidan Thomas, and strikers Sam Malsom and Adrian Patulea have also been released.

Striker Sean Canham and defender Janos Kovacs, who have a year to run on their contracts, have been transfer listed.

Canham spent the latter stages of last season on loan at Kidderminster Harriers while Kovacs started the season as club captain but lost his place in the side after the loan signing of Stefan Stam.

Youngster Tyler Weir has agreed a deal to keep him at Edgar Street for a further year.
