Tour de France 2013: Chris Froome on Wiggins, Armstrong and Contador

Chris Froome says Sir Bradley Wiggins's absence from the Tour de France is "definitely a loss" for Team Sky but admits he will be relieved not to face constant questions regarding the team's leadership.

Last year's runner-up Froome also states he can "certainly beat" two-time champion Alberto Contador, adding that he expects the Team Saxo-Tinkoff rider to "raise his game" when the Tour begins on 29 June.

Wiggins has ruled himself out of defending his 2012 title because of illness and injury.
