Ben Swift third in Vuelta a Espana second stage after sprint finish
Great Britain's Ben Swift lost out in a sprint finish to the 181km second stage of the Vuelta a Espana in Viana.
The Team Sky rider, 24, appeared to edge ahead in the final 50m only to get pipped on the line by German John Degenkolb and Australian Allan Davis.
Fellow Briton Chris Froome, second in the Tour de France and one of the race favourites, finished in the main pack.
Spain's Jonathan Castroviejo retained the overall leader's red jersey as the tour heads into the mountain stages.
